This was honestly the worst experience that I’ve ever had for multiple reasons. The first being that there is no air conditioning. While I understand that it’s an old building, the temperature that the rooms reach in the warmer months is unbelievable. Even with four fans running at once it’s hard to sleep and function. Now my main concern is the cleanliness. I have never been exposed to such dirty and disgusting bathrooms and showers in my life. When the bathroom is “cleaned” it never actually looks clean. The worst of it are the showers. They’re small and filthy. You will find at least five bugs flying around in there every time you go to take a shower. The corners of the floor are caked in dirt and other things (would not be surprised one bit if there was mold in there). I’m not saying any of these issues are at the fault of others, I understand what happens when you live in an old building especially in the warmer months, however, with the amount of money we are paying for tuition and room and board, us students should not be subjected to living conditions like this. (Not to mention I was welcomed with not my first week of school with a massive cockroach in my room).
