We got a little bit larger room, with only 2 girls to share the bathroom. If you are able, get the larger room. Bathroom storage is kind of small. Imagine if 4 girls had to share it. Yikes! Shower is super small. Air conditioning is not central - it is window units. Not the best - but okay. If you look inside the air vents, be prepared to be disgusted. TONS of dust and build up. I don’t think the interior of the air vents has been cleaned since the dorm was built. My roommate and I would constantly get sick with upper respiratory illnesses - we had no idea about the air vents til we moved out. Gross. No elevators. Fairly good location for cafeteria and classes.

It wasn’t super bad, I just didn’t like the building itself and I would’ve chosen a different dorm had I known better. The bathroom itself was small and I was lucky to pick where to put my stuff first. You could hear people talk and make noises especially at night, and the door closed loud if you didn’t close it fully yourself. I was lucky to be at my dorm first cause i did get most of the dorm space but the dorm space itself is pretty small either way. Yes it’s a girls only dorm but the building itself sucks Choose Elliot if you can!!

The room is a good start for freshman but really small.Be prepared because the bathroom is extremely small. Lots of mold and I constantly get sick from it but overall it’s a good dorm for freshman.

You can tell that the building is really old and when I moved in it looked like no one had cleaned the vents, floors or walls for years; so that was pretty gross. It's pretty small and its definetly not the nicest residence hall on campus. It's not absolutely terrible either, but I would not have chosen it if I had known better. The desk space is pretty small and is connected to my roomates; which is fine because I have an awesome roomate but it doesn't give you a lot of space to work if ya'll are using the desk at the same time. It has enough room for storage, and overall the dorm is okay but not my first choice becausde its realy old and doesn't really feel homey or comfortable; which made me more homesick as a freshman. Also, just a heads up you really can't put anything on the walls if you want to decorate bacause the walls are concrete and nothing sticks to them, you would have to use a heavy duty nail to hang up stuff, which is not allowed. Even tape and command strips don't hold because of the texture. I was lucky enough that there was already a nail from a past resident to hang my picture on, and I was able to get a push pin in just enough to hang another one. The bathroom isn't the nicest either, the shower is very tiny and just, overall old. However, the staff are very, very friendly andthe building is convienently next to the dining hall. I have no other complaint about Estill other than the cleanliness and appeal.
