  It’s not bad, but not entirely the best. But all first years are going to be lower in quality than the rest. Dorms are spacious for what they are, they have been kept up. Bathrooms need help, floor three is the best for the men’s bathroom. Main concern is shower mold. Don’t blame the janitor, they get moldy all the time due to lack of ventilation. He does clean them every day during the week besides the weekend when they always get trashed. Understandably, the building is old and needs some retrofitting. The basement has the laundry room, get ready to spend a lot of cash as it’s four dollars per load of laundry. That’s a wash and a dry cycle. I’d advise to stay away from washer number three as it always breaks and leads to damp clothes with pooled water. It locked my clothes in one time and I had to go to the RA helpdesk at 12;00 AM, not fun. There is dorm rooms that are off limits due to previous mold incident’s and not issued to students. It is a bit of a walk to the dining hall, I timed the walking distance and it was eight minutes roughly to the dining hall. To the ice arena/allwell north is around 15-20 minutes. Although there is a shuttle that has 15 minute rounds to the Lamson library stop.

  Belknap is one of the First-Year residence halls on campus. It has a modern-retro vibe with plenty of common rooms and open areas. While an older building, Belknap never feels deteriorated or neglected. Rooms are heated and have an adjustable range thermostat and Wi-Fi and cable.
