It was my first time away from home at the age of 18. I should have been more focused on my studies instead of my social life (which was fantastic). All the amenities, like laundry and bathroom, were acceptable. The room was small but big enough. The food at the cafeteria was decent and the school provided 19 meals a week. Overall, it was a great experience for my first year at Cal Poly, but my grades greatly improved when I moved into an apartment the next year.
