On Campus Housing at Covenant College
Carter Hall is a dorm built in 1928 originally serving as a luxurious hotel. Known as the "Castle in the Clouds," guests traveled the world to vacation in this wonderful location. The hotel did not make it through the great depression, and opened and closed several times until it was finally shuttered in 1960. Covenant purchased the building in 1964, and named the dorm in honor of Paul Carter who originally constructed and owned the hotel. The second through fifth floor of the building serve as student housing. Also located in the building are administrative offices, the bookstore, a snack bar, mail room, and various other offices.
